Mike Toggweiler

Personal

Mike made his first experiences with PCs at primary school age on a dusted i286 computer - and it never let him go. MS-DOS memory optimization for games, creating QBASIC menus: This will sound familiar to IT veterans. He completed an electronics technician apprenticeship, but at that time he already spent the complete 4th year of his apprenticeship with software development. So his hobby became his profession.

Although the tool set, the tools and the work equipment have changed considerably, the basic ideas have remained the same: As a software developer, it is important to understand real problems and hurdles and to create appropriate solutions to simplify the everyday life of users. The daily new problems together with the fast technology change lead to a very versatile and diversified job, in which new things are created again and again.

As a software developer and architect with a quick perception, he sees his strengths in being able to quickly familiarize himself with new topics with different challenges and still not lose focus on the essentials.

As a part-time working family man, he accompanies his two children on their way to adulthood. He is a passionate floorball player and coach. In the summer months, he also enjoys being creative in the garden or tackling one or the other remodeling project.
