Mike hat seine ersten Erfahrungen mit PCs im Primarschulalter auf einem ausgestaubten i286 Computer gemacht - und es liess ihn nicht mehr los. MS-DOS Speicheroptimierung für Games, QBASIC Menus erstellen: Das wird den IT-Veteranen bekannt vorkommen. Er schloss zwar eine Elektroniker-Ausbildung ab, verbrachte aber damals schon das komplette 4. Lehrjahr mit Software Entwicklung. So wurde aus seinem Hobby auch sein Beruf.

Obwohl sich das Tool-Set, die Hilfsmittel und Arbeitsgeräte wesentlich veränderten sind die Grundideen doch immer noch dieselben geblieben: Als Software Entwickler gilt es, reale Probleme und Hürden zu verstehen und dazu passende Lösungen zu kreieren, damit der Alltag von Anwendern vereinfacht wird. Die täglich neue Problemstellungen zusammen mit dem schnellen Technologiewandel führen zu einer sehr vielseitigen und abwechslungsreichen Tätigkeit, in welcher immer wieder neues geschaffen wird.

Mit Tegonal wollten und wollen wir einerseits eigenen Ideen Umsetzen, andererseits ein Umfeld schaffen, in welchem alle Mitarbeiter gemeinsam und gleichberechtigt Entscheidungen fällen und mittragen können. Als Software Entwickler und Architekt mit einer schnellen Auffassungsgabe sieht er seine Stärken darin, sich schnell in neue Themengebiete mit anderen Herausforderungen einarbeiten zu können und trotzdem den Fokus aufs Wesentliche nicht zu verlieren.

Als Teilzeitarbeitender Familienvater begleitet er seine zwei Kinder auf ihrem Weg zum erwachsen werden. Er ist leidenschaftlicher Unihockey-Spieler und -Betreuer. In den Sommermonaten beschäftigt er sich auch gerne kreativ im Garten oder nimmt das eine oder andere Umbauprojekt in Angriff.

As a part-time working family man, he accompanies his two children on their way to adulthood. He is a passionate floorball player and coach. In the summer months, he also enjoys being creative in the garden or tackling one or the other remodeling project.
