Swisscom - INES (2016-2019)
We have successfully implemented requirements in the big data environment for our customer Swisscom over several years. The aim was to create a real-time customer journal by collecting and processing events from various source systems. The results were then made available via a scalable and high-performance web service interface (REST & SOAP) for further processing in third-party systems.
Our tasks included helping to design and implement a big data pipeline for processing customer interactions, setting up a database cluster and developing the web service interface. We were also jointly responsible for the provisioning of the infrastructure, monitoring, alerting and operation. A Tegonal team member also supported the introduction of new teams and temporarily took on the role of Scrum Master to coordinate and optimise the project process.
The project was carried out according to the SAFe model (Scaled Agile Framework), an established project management and process model that enables complex software releases to be managed efficiently and agilely across multiple teams.
We used a variety of modern technologies at Swisscom, including Scala, Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, Grafana, Prometheus, Ansible and Kubernetes. The successful implementation of the INES project allowed us to demonstrate our expertise in the development of scalable systems and our ability to realise IT projects in a complex enterprise environment.
