SBB – UNO (since 2023)

In a team allocated by Puzzle ITC, we have modernised and further developed the UNO topology database at SBB over several years. Our team members took on the roles of architecture and development to refurbish legacy systems, migrate existing systems to current technologies and launch new sub-projects.

Some of the challenges in recent years have included upgrading the Java version from 8 to 21, switching the deployment from Windows to OpenShift and migrating the build process from Jenkins to ArgoCD and Tekton.

The complexity of the business required careful planning and implementation. The successful implementation of this project allowed us to demonstrate our expertise in the development of complex systems and our ability to modernise legacy systems.

The project was carried out according to the SAFe model (Scaled Agile Framework) in order to manage the complexity of the project and promote collaboration between the teams. By working closely with the users and applying agile methods, we were able to achieve the project's objectives and consistently meet SBB's expectations.
