A quick Lasius update
We have added new features to Lasius today. In summary:
- The Tag Manager has finally been added. You can now add and edit tags and tag groups for each project by clicking on the tag icon in the context menu next to a project item (you need to be a project administrator to use this functionality).
- The granularity with which time is recorded using the start/stop functionality has been increased to minutes instead of seconds. Seconds are no longer visible in the UI, and it was not possible to edit seconds before this change. This should calm things down visually and, if we're being honest, we shouldn't get caught up in counting seconds.
- Gaps and overlaps in and between bookings are now immediately visible. Gaps can easily be filled with a new booking or by editing an adjacent booking.
- Where applicable, you can select a default date/time when adding or updating a booking based on its siblings. This is useful for quickly setting the start of a booking to the end of the previous booking. Or change the start time of the currently recording booking to the latest booking on your timeline.
- Because time was previously recorded to the millisecond, some of your existing transactions may erroneously report overlaps. You can choose to ignore these as they are usually in the < 1 minute range. Or you can edit a booking and select the suggested end or start time of one of its neighbours. Changing the granularity will not affect existing bookings, your reports are safe.
We will continue to improve Lasius in the future!
